The Writer Writes
This was in Zempin in the island of Usedom, on the Baltic. The name Usedom has interesting etymology. A Duke on an adjacent island beat his enemy totally but then offered a peaceful settlement. They refused it, to which he declaimed "Oh so Dumm!"
