Re Celebrities Be Gone--
My Internet radio has newly provided me with several alternatives
to ratings-oriented American TV/radio. I first tried their Al Jazeera
service, fearing it would be full of anti-Islamist, Arab Middle East
foreboding. How wrong I was. It’s an honest-to-God alternative to BBC
radio/TV.
I’m eager to discover how softball Larry King will prove, but a
great deal of Russian TV is also enlightening, especially when you’re
aware of their official tics.
