
At the Seattle World’s Fair of 1962,
Mortimer Adler and I appeared together on a communications conference at UW. The local profs were afraid to use the free ringside girlie show tickets so gave them to the visitors.
Half way through the shimmies I turned to Adler and accused him of being a Peeping
Thomist.
He didn't show the least smile, but the rest of the table cracked up.
